Search Multiple Thai Language Resources Easily

Featured Replies

It occurred to me that when I was researching a new word I was spending longer than strictly necessary on individual searches.  For example, I usually look up the word's definition in 3 or 4 different dictionaries.  Sometimes I also need an image search for clarification, and sometimes I need to specify "Thai language only" results. I realised that I could make life easier for myself by making multiple searches with a single click, so I wrote an application which searches a number of resources simultaneously.  Individual results can then be shown as a larger popup window.  (See images below.)

The tool searches:

- thai-language.com
- thai2english.com
- LEXiTRON
- Royal Institute Dictionary
- Wikipedia [Thai language]
- DuckDuckGo (search engine)
- Bing and DuckDuckGo images.

Google makes it very difficult to treat their website in the same way, so there's a set of five individual links covering:

- search Thai language results only
- search Thai language, Thailand-based websites only
- search books
- search images
- search news

The tool is at:

http://thai-notes.com/dictionaries/Supersearch.shtml

Since the tool is new, and a little rough around the edges, I'd appreciate feedback on any problems you might encounter, and on ways to make it better.

Thank you.
