Let's face it, some people make it and others don't, kinda like the medical insurance thingy. :post-4641-1156694572:

Well, like I once said, you know a whole lot more about various medical conditions and prescription medications than I do because, unlike you, I have never had to know.

You confuse sensitivity with bewilderment that anyone might think being number two in a contest of how many, a 50k+ membership, represents loosing - I suppose it's all a matter of perspective (and other things we probably shouldn't discuss in public). :post-4641-1156694572:

Now, that's just sad.  Take comfort that your hero will continue taking pictures of rice fields.  No matter how many times he loses.  :violin:

Once again you see, bewilderment strikes the vast majority where, "No matter how many times he loses",  equates to ONCE (last year was third place, this year aint done yet)

You must have skin like leather VF....if I did that for a week I'd be sold at a five star hotel buffet.

In each of them you have to consider the source, water from the drains is always less pure than from the mountain spring.

5.6 million what? -- I've been in Thailand with insurance over 10 years and have total premiums of less than 1 million baht. You seem to have some great desire to able to say that you are way ahead. Congrats to you.

Fifteen year olds can often get away with such low numbers.

Regardless, thanks for the recognition, much appreciated.

One gets out there on his bike....the other refuses to give us a real song.

One is pure as the hills....the other as slimy as a snake in the jungle.

Etc etc....some of us get it.

Both lovely and great people, absolutely no doubts about that and their respective posting histories confirm, both are potentially liked equally.

BUT, I don't always enjoy Chopin over lunch, sometimes I like Springsteen.

Some of us get that also!

No -- I was over 50 when I bought insurance here in Thailand.  I didn't get real sick so I guess I'm not way ahead . Gee I wish I had gotten real sick so then I could say that I was way ahead. Just my dumb luck I didn't get real sick.

The annual quotes from BUPA/Thailand for a 50 year old at the 3 levels of Platinum coverage range from roughly 38,000 to 50, 000 baht per year.

On the contrary.  I've lost meaningless contests before.  I'm sure it's heartbreaking for VF.  And it must not be easy having to live near all those rice fields for 40 years.  I think I might shed a tear.

The dot lord is compassionate and understanding.

It appears I'm going to have to liven this show up in the final round.

Your join the dots game is going to get far more interesting.

After all we all know Transam is/was a ginger.

This is a great contest.  They even have judges on 'ignorance'.  How long has that been your forte?

If you are trying to make the other members think you are not so clever, you're doing fine! :clap2:
