I'll post this even though I think it's only phuketrichard and myself who have shown interest in Chin State.

 

19-20 February is Chin State national day which will be celebrated in Mindat.

 

If anyone has been contemplating paying a visit then this will be the ideal opportunity to photograph the fabulous local women known for their facial tattoos and occasional nose flute players. Excellent chance of coming across Dai, Yinduu, Moon, Makaan and Uppru each of which have distinctive tattoos. Mindat is typically reached from Bagan or Mandalay.
