That's good, you have done well.
I'd like to ask you a question or two if I may. Which office are you dealing with and what paperwork was required and anything else need to be done.
Mine isn't due till early October but I was advised to front in August to get things underway.

Sakon Nakhon as Joe mentioned.

Just make sure on the day you go to your bank and make a withdrawal of say 200 baht, update your passbook and photocopy it, add that to the letter from your bank for the immigration office that will confirm that you have 400,000 baht in the bank.

By months end when I go back, I will also get them to provide me with a letter for the government body here, confirming that I have had an extension of stay for more than 12 months so that I can apply for the yellow book and pink ID card.

Required Documents For A One Year Extension Based Upon Marriage

You will need 2 sets of copies attached to 2 TM7 application.forms.

Proof of 400k baht in the bank for 2 months by way of a letter from your bank and your bank book, don't forget to withdrawal say 200 baht on the day you are visiting the IO and, update your passbook and photocopy it  or 40k baht income proven by a income letter from your embassy.

Copies of your passport photo page and every page that has any stamp or visa for Thailand on it.

Copy of TM6 departure card.

Marriage certificate and a updated Kor Ror 2 marriage registry (Kor Ror 22 for foreign marriages)

Copies of your wife's house book registry and ID card.

Photos of you and your wife in and around the house.

One must show you both with the house number shown in it.

2 Passport size photos of you that they will glue to the application form.

The number of photos needed varies by office.

Map to your residence from the nearest main road or street.

Proof of residence if not living where your wife's house book is for.

Witness in person when you apply with copies of their ID card and house book.

1,900 baht for the application and of course something else when they ask for the trip to come out to your place, oh and if you are wanting change, forget it, so might be better off giving them the exact money 555

Most of the above was provided to me by Joe, I have just tweaked and added some stuff based on my application and experience.

an updated Kor Ror 2 marriage registry

I have a Kor Ror 2 that was done 8 years ago. One must update every time one wants a yearly extension of a visa non-o based on marriage? Is it a matter of going to the amphoe and getting it? Nothing to bring. Can do alone? How much?

A updated print out of the Kor Ror 2 can be obtained at any Amphoe for a fee of 20 baht. Your wife could easily get it by just showing her ID card. You would need your marriage certificate and passport to get it. They might also want copies of your wife's ID card and house book registry.
