Right now you appear to be the only one but if you can share some insight on the perceived significance of "a single .38 casing", maybe you will have a few more.

A .38 is a revolver round. It would not eject from the firearm when it is fired - like a 9mm or similar semi-auto round would.

Some reports say shot twice, other reports say shot once. the video appears to be one shot, or two in very quick succession.

Doesn't matter one or two. There normally would not be spent revolver casings at the scene unless there was a clumsy reload.

There are a lot of nit pickers on here, and some with Attitude.

Wow, did you have a team of monkeys working round the clock on that bit of quick repartee, Sherlock ! Since you seem to be in full possession of ALL the facts pertaining to the case. Perhaps you can fill us in on how you managed to come upon your inside info. I'm sure the perpetrators would love to know that there's witness that the police haven't interviewed yet, who seems to know more than they do. Why don't you regale us with your intimate knowledge of the victim's shady associates and illegal dealings to back up your keen insight of his guilt for summary execution .

I don't need "a team of monkeys" to read what the OP clearly stated and what a couple of posters have confirmed.  This man's activities were not a big secret.

Yes .but are they single. The guy who was shot only got married in November.his wife gets all his money now.It would not be the first time this has happend.Boyfreind or family.knowing she has control of the money now.But then the police find out who done it.And its lottery time for the police. The case goes unsolved, and they make some stories up about drugs or something.Normal in Thailand.

As normal as your type of speculation is on Thaivisa.

rather live modest and be alive, than own a porche with 2 behind the ear

You realise you don't automatically get two behind the ear just because you drive a Porsche, don't you?

Yes, but it's asking for trouble.

Boiler room ? Stole from the wrong people .:shock1::shock1:

Don't be daft.

Boiler rooms hardly ever get caught by the victims.

On the very rare occasions they come to a sticky end, it's usually at the hands of a business rival.

Or just knew too much..

Or dealt with the wrong people..

Or just got too big..

Or couldn't behave and caused headaches for the guys above him..

The initial article says he had ties to boiler rooms. How did the police know so fast?

It's no secret 'some forces' are in an agreement with the boiler room boys, so maybe one of the boys in brown got ordered to do the dirty work.

When the BIB tried to take down Sharky they send 'some of their own' too.. in this case a lot of money flows up the ranks..

Nightclubs, Girly bars, Discos.. you don't bite the hand that feeds you but you bite the hand thats threatening to cut it off.

Just google what happened to other 'whistleblowers' or people that cross the BR bosses the wrong way in Thailand (Kealy brothers, Sharpe). They all end up jailed one way or another.

At least he got a quick ending without all the suffering.

IF he even was involved in any of the BR stuff..

Armchair detective - out!

Awful lot of mice doing the rounds on the forum today.

Apparently, driving a Porsche in Thailand is effectively begging for a knife between the shoulder blades.

Any outward displays of modest wealth could see you fall foul of both Thais and jealous foreigners.

I'd better stop wearing Emporio Armani just in case the cleaners and condo security arrange to have me kidnapped for ransom.

That's how you end up when doing dodgy deals in S E Asia.Do not expect to get away with it in Thailand if you get involved in Shady deals or you try to outwit your local partner.

Definitely the Police n Army should clean Pattaya from all those Mafia groups both local , Regional and Europeans

The RTP are not interested in solving crimes. That is not even on their radar. They are motivated by greed alone. Same with the Army.

Not much chance of that, as they will presume your brand clothing is fake!

Yeah but should I make a point of burning the store bags on the balcony instead of putting them in the trash?

Or better still, refusing the store bags and bringing my own 7-11 carriers to EM Quartier instead?

Who says I'm jealous?  What did I say to indicate that?  He's one of those theives who lives in Thailand and thinks no one will catch him according to the article.  I know a load of them who do the same thing.
