Selling motorbike: contract questions

Featured Replies

Meeting buyer tomorrow to sell my motorbike. All my paperwork is in order and will go with them to the motor office to finalise everything. Buyer will be under a Thai name.

Anyone recommend the wording for the sale contract? Is there a formal letter or a typed receipt/confirmation. Please show an example if possible.

With changing names in the book, can it all be done in a day?

Thanks TVers!

There used to be an official receipt that you could print off on the DLT site.

The time depends on the demands of the DLT - If I were the buyer I would insist you accompany me to a DLT and check the forms are complete .. They may require the seller to have a certificate of residence - some may just want a signature on the paper.

Once this has all been confirmed - then, no need for you to hang around.

(too late now I suppose ) You can use this   1 copy for both buyer and seller.

This is from the DLT site ?

I I think this is the receipt I was thinking about

I'm not sure where it originally came from...but this form should cover you ie prove that you sold the vehicle to such and such on such a day and so have no more legal responsibilities for it.

I'm sure I have seen this form before, thanks for the share.
