While the whiners on Thai Visa will say Thailand isn't going anywhere the fact that a minimum of 5000 baht for a decent soapy  massage in Bangkok will say that mass Sex Tourism to Thailand is on the wane

5,000 Baht for a soapy. Somebody is having a laugh.

(BTW - I have no idea what a soapy massage is )

You expect us to believe that   :cheesy:

The in your face falang way of doing it will inevitably go the way of the dodo. The more discreet Thai way of doing will be here forever much like prostitution it ain't going anywhere either

@starky transparency and playfulness will always be Thailand's strong point when it comes to adult entertainment.

So i see sex work going through slow periods, but never coming to a full stop or super-hidden like some of its neighbors.

Hetersexuality is valued very highly in Thai culture. So is the 'up to you' morality

I tend to agree to some extent however I think there will be much less. Pattaya probably the naughty area will all get pushed out to maybe soi buakow possibly even to the darkside, dont know what will happen in Phuket but I would imagine something similar. My prediction for Bangkok would be one naughty area remaining like a sideshow for the curious. Probably soi cowboy I can see Patpong and Nana all eventually going, like Pattaya and Phuket the real estate these failing businesses occupy is just going to become too valuable to support a few old bargirls and their customers. I could go on but there are a multitude of reasons that things wont be how they were way too many to outline here.

The Japanese have a lot to answer for!

Eventually they will price even themselves out of the market

So what percentage of actual tourists do you think go to Thailand with sex on their itinerary . I am guessing it is quite high because of the most popular resorts geared up for this industry . I am also hearing from friends what the ladies of the night are asking for their services and I have to say it is not cheap but the 2 week millionaires seem happy to pay it . Far cheaper in the UK .      I am told  .
