What a time to do it .? Why not do it when people are sleeping and the weather is a lot cooler ..  Wait this is Thailand and no logical thinking these days by the  ceo and management team..

^^  It's kinda like when they tear up a road to do a water line project and a couple of months later tear up the same road to put in some utility poles/lines and a couple of months later tear up  the same road to fix all the damage that was done previous few months.

There is no "good time" to do it.  Do it at night as you suggest and the population is deprived of lights, very dangerous when you think about it.  Many Bangkokians work late hours...do you think anybody, including yourself would want to walk on dark streets into a totally darkened building?  Emergency lights can only last for a short while.

No matter what time of day, somebody will be seriously inconvenienced.

What a "brilliant" idea cut power supply in the night, when it dark. Very "logical", yeah...
And, JFYU: the most of people sleep with aircon ON.

Last time when power interrupted late in the evening, I have seen many people with children sitting inside cars with running engine and aircon. Dangerous practice, but just illustration how they depend on electricity in the evening/night...

I would rather the power is cut on a Sunday during the day. We can always go somewhere and it's only 7 hours in most cases. Most nights, at least for me, I can't sleep without at least a fan on. At least they're not doing it in April...I hope.

Wish they would announce such work in our rural area.

Fortunately a rare occurrence.

Nightmare scenario: end of April, power outage in the night :shock1:
