Bangkok to Kanchanaburi

Featured Replies

HI all,  just wondering if anyone knows if minivans from Ratchadamnoen Klang Rd (close to kao san) are still available to go to Kanchanaburi.  Since they've moved the vans from victory mon. , It is the best option for me i think.  Also, if you know the soi would be a great help.  Thanks

No, of course not.

ALL interurban BoKoSo vans have been outed to the existing major BUSterminals, though in this case, the OLD (uhm, in fact the medium) Sai THai is used-just before the big bridge, and very well signposted-even in big english capitals. The remaining-and much less as before, real big 1st cl. buses use the new Sai Thai-Taling Chan, much further out.

As for now there are plenty of free red shuttlebuses from the special stop along Ratchdamnern going to Sai Thai and sai4-these serve both Sai Thai terminals too. There is also a free orange AC-bus from the Vict Mon to new Sai Thai (the vans will also pick up there).

There are also regular route-vans from Mochit, these use the sai mai=new road via bang len, but run only hourly at best-some continue on to Sangklaburi

But the real, always moaning and complaining, farang of course uses the very last resort of the trains with special discriminatory farang pricing on this route?

Are Khao San tour companies still running their buses though (or is this what you're referring?).

If not, good riddance but also must be hurting their pockets
