Best dentist for implants

Featured Replies

Hi

Someone can recommend high quality clinic for implant?

I heard bumrungrad has one. Anyone can recommend them? Or someone which is better

BIDC (Bangkok International Dental Clinic. People from all over the world come here for dental implants. I first became aware of the clinic about 8-9 years ago after seeing a friend in California with her new look.  I asked her about her procedures and she told she she had extensive implants done in Bangkok after doing considerable research. I asked for the contact info as I was at the time traveling a lot to Thailand, and thought I could stop by and have some rather minor work done. Glad I did. Had some fillings redone, and cleanings every six months. My particular dentist had his training in the states. Spoke excellent English, young, and highly professional. The staff members are all young beautiful ladies with excellent English. Prices very good compared to the western world. Check out their website for prices and all the procedures they perform. This is truly a world renowned organization.

Dr. Chatchai Kunavisarut,
is not only one of the best doing implants in Thailand but one of the best anywhere in the world and exclusively uses Strumann implants and is at BIDC . He does the implants but not the crown and abutment ( this I found out later ) so if you go with him MAKE SURE TO ASK FOR AND PAY THE DIFFERENCE FOR A SENIOR ( like Dr. Sonthi who moves around and can be used there who also has extensive background milling the crown and his own lab that uses latest 3m Lava all ceramic technology a real pro that makes a perfect team with Chatchai one could miss if a senior is not chosen and paid for at BIDC ) prosthodontics to place the abutment and crown . PM me for details but if I had to choose anyone it would be Dr.Chatchai for implants and Strumann implants . He is the reason for me going to BIDC and choosing it for my implants and I would again but wish I knew then what I know now . Like Cheryl says it's not so much the clinic or hospital that matters but the skill of the person working on you and here that really really really applies .
More later on my outcome and work in progress .

Thantakit Dental is an excellent choice. The owner is an implantologist himself. Most of my Aussie friends had their dental implants at Thantakit. I've had a few treatments with them before and their service was exceptional. Competitive prices and they are at par with the international standards.

No such thing as an implantologist.  There is also no specialty in Implants.  Hopefully the person placing the implant is a surgeon or at least a periodontist.  The crown or denture over the implant(s) is hopefully a competent restorative dentist.  Do not be fooled by anyone claiming a "specialty".  Question the ethics of any dentist making such claims.

My dentist is Dr. Pokpong Amornvit, who is located at The S Sathorn Clinic, Soi Suanplu 8, off of Sathorn Road phone 02-287-4922. Very reasonable priced in a pleasant and clean atmosphere. Very good English including the receptionist with parking just a few step from the clinic entrance if needed. I have been going there for several years and had great results each time. Three implants for me there, I shopped around and for the quality material he uses I really doubt you will find a better price. He studied at UCLA in California.

Greetings,

Currently, I'm being cared by Dr. Chatchai and he's the best in Thailand!  His credentials and professionalism speak for itself!

True that there's no such thing as an implantologist, but a periodontist is a specialty with more knowledge of gums and bone (which are the critical factors for an implant).

Aaaaaand I should've read the entire post at least before I commented. Lol

I can also personally vouch for Thantakit Dental Center in Bangkok. I've used the one in Petchburi Road. Quite a popular name in dental implants and dental holidays in Thailand. I appreciate their promptness and high- quality treatments (porcelain crowns). Dentists were concerned, staff responded quickly. They also provided free hotel transfers which were very useful. Highly recommended.
