BANGKOK: -- A video of a suspected drunk policeman on an expressway is wowing the internet with almost 200,000 views.

The cop is caught on a dash cam driving on the Ram Inthra expressway leading to the Chonburi motorway.

He swerves from left to right and back again much to the amusement of the man in the car behind who admits it would be too dangerous to try and overtake him.

He called out the license plate number on the video though the report by Thai Rath did not say if any action had yet been taken against the officer.

The footage was on the Facebook page of "Steve Art Duangchathom". Thai Rath online caught up with the poster, real name Jirawat who said that he recorded the footage on Sunday at about 9pm while on his way home.

He eventually overtook when the cop stopped to make a phone call by the side of the road.

The video caused a huge amount of adverse comment from netizens.

Probably gave him the day off to sober up, before resuming normal duties.

like  sleeping in  his  box

They are so good at holding up other people to standards

they themselves do not follow....

:coffee1:

Yes, very amusing. Try pathetic!

He wasn't drunk, he's clearly being remotely controlled by the driver of the car.

  • Well...........wow!

Trying to think which of the following are upcoming.... Inactive post, denial of poor standards by Chaktip, threats to sue the poster for defamation and computer crime, threats to not share the footage any more, denial that the guy involved was an actual policeman at all, or the story to never be heard from again..

TIT, and why T will never be anything other than TW no matter how much T the T peeps B or B for A always indemnify the state of mpr = TIT

translated...

This IS Thai and why Thai will never be anything other than Third World no matter how much Tech the Thai peeps Buy or Build for Appearances always indemnify the state of "mai pen rai" = TIT !

I hope he stopped to call someone to pick him up.

Driver of the car could have honked his horn also a few times to try make the cop stop.

But hey who cares , great footage if he killed himself in front of your dash-cam right ?

Already waiting for the police statement , drunk driving foreigner with police vest caught on dash cam.

It looks like a impostor, probably a tourist. Police officers in Thailand do not drink bottles of Johnny walker at work do they?

A few years ago I took my wife to the police station so she could report a brake in at her shop. 4 o'clock in the afternoon the two officers were so drunk they could not fill out the paper work and asked her to come back the next day.

Ohhh nooooo, not again...they had such a good reputation and now this...another rotten apple in the basket.

Had a similar incident a few years ago. We had a minor car crash on the Pattaya-Rayong road, dropped into the local cop shop to report it (around 8:30 pm). The cops were clearly 'under the influence' and more committed to the football game on tele than apprehending my hit-run motorist!

Really, you think they're good at that?.... If only they were.

If only -

This man is not drunk! It´s clearly an effect after an alien abduction, where they tried to replace coordination and balance with stupidity. Seems like they succeeded!

The officer showed some tiredness probably from sun stroke LOL

Why do the Burmese keep driving around at night drunk wearing a fake police uniform?

Good thing he was on the expressway, the safest place for a motorcycle.

All that plus, they guy was a fake police man and not Thai.. probably a Burmese worker.

Fake news!!! Skunks don't get drunk..... more fitting might be "drunk as a peach orchard boor"

IF this is representative of Thailand's "FInest" we are all in big trouble

I Know this Man he Mows My Lawn He from Burma :stoner:

Shameful if this cop does not have to lose some of his rank and paycheck. That was a dangerous driver

on a motorbike, who could have cause a serious accident,  or even ran over someone after he left the

highway to run on a side street where there are people walking.

Geezer

No surprise as everyone that drinks alcohol has driven intoxicated a time in their life.

Even the negative posters who drink!
