Basketball Court in Rayong

Featured Replies

Hi there,

Just moved to Central Rayong and looking for a place to shoot some basketball.  Could be Central Rayong, Map Ta Phut or Ban Chang as I have a car.

Any clues?

If Im not very wrong you have one in Ban Chang. After Garden school on the right hand side if you are coming from Sukhumvit. Footballfield there also.

Im going Tesco today so will look.

Just went past. Seems like they demolished it. Handboll/5aside court and childrens playground there now.

Basketball is more a Philippines sport due to the US influence. Thailand is much more into football (UK soccer).  I noticed the international school in BC has such facilities. Restricted to the school personnel itself. due to security, of course. This is not the culture where one just goes to "shoot some hoops".  You first need to develop a friendly relationship with the locals (not too difficult).  Try taking up cycling with a good bike ... some good and interesting Thai guys (and females) can be met. Good luck.

one in BC coming on suk, turn left at the first set of lights to wat ban chang school, about 400 meters on the right is a big sports ground, at the back have one next to badminton tennis. I used to frequent, has lights so nights are on, but it maybe being used or may not.

bound to be some courts in rayong, funny about the phlips mentioned above they have a league that covers chonburi/rayong
so if you meet any Pinay teachers they should know where.

cheers
