When I lived in South Koh Chang, near Ban Bao, some 6 years ago now, the road didn't get much farther than Kai Bai beach ad after that it was a dirt track that went and did some mad hairpins over the rises and valleys of the island. It was great fun to do by dirt bike... especially when they started bringing Dirt Trucks coming in the other way to build the road...

But the only accident I had was on a straight, smooth, four lane highway.

I always thought the upper part of Soi Siam Country Club was as bad as it could get....

Any road with more than 3 Thai drivers on it is dangerous by definition.

Up near Dan Sai they dug up twisty mountain roads during the rainy season - absolutely crazy! Who makes daft decisions liek that anyway?

Great link, the second page has a list of roads that did not quite make it. Funny most are in asia, none from Thailand, may be someone could send the list owner some ideas.

I thought the roads up to Sakaeo were bad.
