March 21, 20178 yr I have a few genital warts down there that i want removed effectively, rather quickly, and with not much scarring. Hopefully minimal chance of returning. Cost is not a primary concern. Of course treatment should not result in any erectile dysfunction problems. From what i read there is: Podofilox cream, laser surgery (co2 and pulse dye), and freezing (nitrogen cryotherapy). Electro-Surgery cauterization did not sound like a good option to me. I am interested in hearing about any experiences with these options and any recommendation. Also if you know any good practitioners in Bangkok, let me know that along with a rough cost.
March 21, 20178 yr You've missed Aldara cream from your list. It's the treatment least likely to produce scarring. It may take a few weeks to work (or not work at all for you). It'll be relatively cheap. (One sachet of the cream can be used for several days' applications.) Probably the first thing to try. Laser surgery will be the quickest, most reliable treatment. The virus will probably persist in your skin, and you may get a recurrence of the problem.
April 5, 20178 yr I had some removed about 9 years ago with the liquid nitrogen treatment and only now has one returned. Quite a painful experience having liquid nitrogen applied to your old fella and you will get what looks like the sort of blister you get from a burn or scold, but heals with no scarring.
April 5, 20178 yr Warts are warts ,buy some wart remover, obviously more concentrated than Podofilox, few uses and it get painful, but anything used is going to cause pan, coat the warts 3 or 4 times ease off for a couple of days then use again
April 5, 20178 yr Have a look here http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Genital_warts/Pages/Treatment.aspx Treatment varies on the type and location of the warts. Cryotherapy works well, but as said above, the virus lives in the skin, so they can come back.
July 31, 20187 yr Ive been had cryotherapy at medconsult on two separate occassions and it's worked really well. Aldara worked once but I would always go for cryotherapy if you can cost only 1300 baht at medconsult in total as well
