computer stuff in Pattaya -- only tukcom?

I always deal with a shop called Wattana, more or less directly across the road from Foodland on Pattaya Klang. It is deceptively small on the outside but huge when you enter. They also have a large service centre at the back of the shop. The staff are friendly and seem to know their stuff. Have been dealing with them for many years.

InvadeIT looks far away compared to the Bangkok brand but they're really good and has things in stock that no other place has.

Both Advice and Jib has storefront in both TukCom and Harbor mall, they can order everything in their website, if you're building a whole computer, sometime the shop front can get better deal if they assemble the whole system for you than if you were to buy all the separate components together even from their own online site.

Some small mom and pop shops that build and sell systems can also order from both Jib and Advice with a special access that gives discount at a 'trade' rate.

Which is a shame as I enjoy the putting things together myself, but just buying things off the net and putting it together yourself might not be the cheapest

Granted on the Advice site they do have random discounts going on all the time so you have to keep watch on what the prices are, even the shop front staff seem to keep a close eye on their site and looks like they know what the margin/discount is and is able to quote you a built system with the discount applied.

Which is too bad as the shops in Pattaya both at TukCom and Harbor is not well stocked when it comes to high-end stuff, random bits and pieces, they can order it in next day for you but you could do it online and get it delivered next day too. The shopfront is only good for if you need a system built that they can give a discount on, for components, you're better off just ordering online for the same price. Oh and sometime with certain new release products like graphics card and CPUs that is out of stock everywhere and is delivered in trickle of only a few units to each shops, their site will often show out of stock, but in store they'll reserve some for prebuilt system and will have a better idea of when will the next shipment arrives.

So if you want to walk in cash in hand and drive home that day with something, the shops in Pattaya are pretty useless, for random browsing I prefer the Palladium or Pantip in Bangkok where you can talk to the proper owners of the shop and get a proper deal
