Getting Thai Visa in Phnom Penh just before Songkran

Recommended Posts

Hello.

I arrive in PP Sunday 9april. My flight back to Bangkok is Thursday morning. I beleive the Thai embassy close on wednesday afternoon for Songkran holiday.

Usually I go to Vientiane and the Visa process for single entry (60 days with extension of 30 days) i just 24 hours.

Is it the same in Phnom Penh?

I worry that I will come on monday and that my Visa will not be ready before my flight home to Bangkok on the following thursday morning.

The standard in PP is 3 working days, but usually agencies offer a 2 day express service for an extra fee.
The embassy in PP is highly unpredictable, often changing procedures or suddenly closing for an extra day or 2.So it might be advisable to contact one of the agencies to get the latest.I always use LMN Travel&Tours.

But, as the OP points out, the Embassy is closed on Wednesday.

That is the calendar for 2016. They only have 2017 in Thai that shows closed on Thursday and Friday. http://www.thaiembassy.org/phnompenh/th/organize/21817-วันเวลาทำการ-วันหยุดราชการ.html

What does this mean? Pickup 3 days later?

When I went 3 weeks ago, the pickup was 2 days later.

I have just spoken to the hotel i'm staying at, Lance court, that they have been in contact with a visa agent and that they could not help me.

I had to go to the embassy myself.

That cant be true can it?

Happened to me three weeks ago
