Phuketairporthotel.com - 1 Minute To Beach & Plane!

Featured Replies

Hi

I've just become a sponsor of the Phuket forum, so would like to introduce our new hotel.

Some of you may have followed my previous posts about building a small hotel in Phuket that is fully accessible to both able-bodied and not-so able-bodied guests.

I've surprised myself by actually completing the construction of said hotel - and we are now open and taking in guests.

We have 10 double/twin-bed rooms in 5 bungalows. All are set around a swimming pool and private garden.

We also have a restaurant with Thai/Western food and a bar.

We provide FREE wifi ADSL internet throughout our resort. There is also a free internet PC in our bar. (It's free because I use ADSL all the time for my software work....)

There are no steps throughout our resort, and all doors are wide enough for wheelchairs.

But maybe the best selling point is that our hotel is only 1 minute drive from both the airport and NaiYang Beach - and we

provide free transfers!

Anyway - I look forward to meeting some TV members. Just PM me for more details.

Congratulations and the very best of luck with your hotel!

Nice one, well done and good luck to you Simon. :o:D

Thanks Simon for sponsoring us!

Thread pinned in the Phuket forum branch.

Just went for short visit today:

Lovely cosy resort and absolutely close to the airport. You could come out of the plane and jump over the fence to stand in front of this place.

Simon is a nice bloke as well(sorry, forget to pay for my coffee mate :o )

Another reason for me to come again.

Hi Simon, congrats with the hotel. I had a look at your website, and it really looks nice.

A couple of questions though,

1. Why is it not possible to book more than 20 days in advance? When I come over to LOS, I like to book everything well in advance, to get it over and done with.

2. You state "1 min. from the airport" What is the noise level like?

Good luck, and more than likely will see you on my first trip to Phuket later this year. (normally always Patts lol)

Best Regards

Peter

Hi Peter, thanks for your post:

1. Why is it not possible to book more than 20 days in advance? When I come over to LOS, I like to book everything well in advance, to get it over and done with.

Actually, you can book any time in advance by booking direct with my hotel. The 20 days in advance is just the policy of the ratestogo travel agent that I also use.

2. You state "1 min. from the airport" What is the noise level like?

The noise level is low. We are not under the flightpath. You can hear some of the older Russian planes, but generally the noise is no issue, (if it were noisy then we would not have built the hotel here...)

Hi Simon just a few questions. Will your rates still be the same in the low season i.e june. Also is there any sort of accessable nightlife nearby? Many thanks

  • Author

Hi - sorry for the late reply, couldn't find a decent interent connection. Yes, the rates will go down in low season, (but not much since we seem quite busy!), nightlife is not 'in your face' like Patong, but there are some good seafood restaurants and bars down at the local beach.

Simon

Hi:

Stayed there a couple weeks ago with my sister and g/f. 3 in a room was okay. close to airport; no noise; good beach access (good beach too).

Only thought isthe taxi rate to patong for shopping was a little steep (but then again they probably don't have any guests coming back to pay for the return trip).

Will stay there again.

Just a quick comment re the taxi rate to Patong. Yes, if it were a return trip then the price would average out cheaper. In any case, the rate that we quote is what is quoted to us by the local taxi companies, and seems to vary between 500 - 800 baht. I personally think that 700/800 baht is a little expensive, but there is zilch that I can do about it :o

Just wanted to say, I've now stayed twice at your airport hotel. It's a great jumping off point for a weekend vacation to Phanga Town, Khao Lak too. I'd like to offer just two little pieces of constructive critism. As a Farrang, of course I'm told the price is $3000 BHT per night. Though manangment staff gladly came down to 1500$BHT per night when my GF haggled for me a little bit. Thanks, as a resident and teacher here in Phuket, it's much appreciated that I'm given a break when I pay taxes for the country. The Tv is not really good. you only get 10 channels, and only 2-3 are in english depending on time , the latter changes to german at some point. If I was paying 3k per night, and got tv like that I'd be ripe. Second, now that it's the dry season, the bathrooms have a smell, possibly adding a little clorine to the water from the water trucks would be a good Idea.

Other than that, great place , and friendly staff, quite accomodating. I must say, the first time I stayed, Me and the GF decided to go for a late night swim, and it must have been 2-3am. Some new friends joined, and I brought a bottle of Jhonny out to enjoy. Your staff not only brought us extra towels at 3am, They also brought an Ice bucket, and glasses!!!

Never in my life have I had service like that in Thailand. I was amazed!

Thanks for such a nice get away resort.

Hi Lithobid, thanks very much for your post and here are my comments:

- Re the high season price, it's never 3,000 baht a night! The published price is 2,000 baht but we can be argued down to 1,500 baht :o (whether you are Thai or not).

I agree that the TV channels are rubbish! I'm working on that one but it's rather expensive to get a decent solution since we are not on cable.

Not sure about the bathroom smell, but we are currently putting more fans into the bathrooms. We have our own water supply and only have to use water trucks if our water pump breaks!

Cheers

Simon

Hi...

Just checked into the hotel last night, arrived in Phuket and was picked up from the airport no problem, thanks.

The hotel is very good - staff are friendly, rooms are great for the price I think and seeing as I arrived in the middle of the Thai New Year it was good peace of mind to know I could quickly get to the hotel from the airport without any water/powder shinnanigins! :o

Recommended by me, cheers!! :D
