Man shot and killed at local restaurant after flirtatious advances towards his girlfriend by the alleged shooter.

At 8am on Thursday Morning, Police Lieutenant Colonel Sompon from Pattaya Police station was called to the Pattaya Memorial Hospital after medical staff reported admitting a man in a critical condition following a shooting at a restaurant in South Pattaya. The victim, Khun Soogin aged 29, who sustained a gun shot wound to his chest, could not be resuscitated and was pronounced dead moments after his arrival at Hospital.

The man’s 22 year old girlfriend who was clearly shocked at what had happened told Police that Khun Soogin was part of a small group who had gone to the Kruathai Pub and Restaurant in Soi Jirapon off Soi Beokeow. On a nearby table was a group of men, one of which was continuously speaking with the victim’s girlfriend and suggested she break-up with her current boyfriend to begin a relationship with him. She refused his advances and Khun Soogin became angry at the suspect’s unwanted advances.

Looks of anger were exchanged between the victim and the suspect and moments later Khun Soogin made his way to the Toilet.
