April 18, 20178 yr 7-Eleven engulfed by flames after car crashes into it By The Nation PATHUM THANI: -- A car crashed into a 7-Eleven shop in Pathum Thani province early Tuesday morning, setting the shop alight. Captain Thirawat Phakprapai, an officer on duty at Samkhok Police Station, said the accident happened at about 12.30am on Pathum-Samkhok Road in Samkhok district. Firefighters who arrived on 10 fire engines took about half an hour to control the blaze that raged through the three-unit three-storey shophouse of the 7-Eleven Sea-Space store. The driver of the white Toyota Altis that crashed into the store, Thanawi Thanachotechuang, 27, was injured by the crash and also suffered minor burns. He was treated at Pathum Thani Hospital. Prapha Modejaem, 30, an assistant manager of the shop, told police that he was packing shelves when the accident occurred. He alleged the car was speeding, with it first hitting a traffic sign in the middle of the road and catching fire and then crashing into the shop. The blaze spread quickly, Prapha said. April 18, 20178 yr Thankful to hear that no one was seriously hurt, because the fella has done a good job of sticking the car inside the shop. I hope the cops breathalyzed the driver, as it is difficult to understand how someone sober can be that bad at parking.

April 18, 20178 yr Yes by the sounds of this accident and time of day, it is very likely that the driver was drunk. Hope the police were smart enouth to gather evidence of this and charge the driver accordingly. Geezer
