Israel Hamas War the Widening Middle East Conflict
A breakdown in communications networks in central and southern Gaza has cut many Palestinians off from the outside world for the past week, further straining aid efforts and emergency services amid continuing Israeli bombardment. Israeli strikes damaged a main connection, cutting off communications in large areas of the strip since Tuesday, according to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, based in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. “Telecoms have been used as a weapon of war against civilians,” said Juliette Touma, communications director at UNRWA, the U.N. agency for Palestinian refugee that is the main service provider in Gaza. Updates and events in the War in Ukraine 2025
Russian military officers are increasingly avoiding deployment to the front lines in Ukraine by transferring to rear units or abandoning their service, Ukraine's Defense Intelligence reports. Documents signed by Lieutenant General Mikhail Zusko, Chief of Staff of the Southern Military District, reportedly show that more than 900 officers were transferred to rear units without justification. Don't blame the buses. Per Fox: Part of the problem is the manufacturer of the buses, Proterra, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in August. The company, founded in 2004, rose to become the largest e-bus company in the U.S., representing nearly 40% of the market prior to going belly-up. Other countries make it work. Shenzhen is a city that has reached a future that the U.S. can only dream about. The city, home to about 12 million people, has made a wholesale conversion to electric transportation, with 16,000 Electric Buses and 22,000 Electric Taxis https://www.forbes.com/sites/brookecrothers/2021/02/14/this-chinese-city-has-16000-electric-buses-and-22000-electric-taxis/ Same with high-speed rail................ -
