My first 1 year DL expired on 5 December last.

I will not be able to renew it until around March next year

Any first hand experience of a renewal 4 months after expiry ?

I was told up to 6 months would be fine.......

Mine was lost AND expired 3 and a half months, went into the transportation office with a letter from immigration confirming my residence and passport.... 15 mins later I had my 5 year license

Sorry for the late reply, that was in Bangkok at the transport office accross from Mochit
