According to the paper that can't be named, the private airport on Phangan has been halted for encroaching on a forest reserve.

IMO jolly good news. The airport on Samui led to it's, IMO, ruin.

 

In the same article, a forest reserve was found cleared and subdivided into sections being advertised on the internet for sale to foreigners at 600,000 baht each. Wonder if they were advising the prospective suckers that it is illegal to own land in LOS?
