Phetchaburi police yesterday escorted a burglar to reenact the breaking open of a ATM machine of the Siam Commercial Bank with gas cutter.

The burglar Charnarong Einghongthong, 46, and his colleague, still at large, escaped with 2 million baht in cash after a 20-minute attempt.

Charnarong was arrested at a weekend market in Nakhon Ratchasima and confessed to be one of the two burglars breaking open the ATM machine in front of SR Spinning Co Ltd in Phetburi town on May 20.

He said while reenacting the breaking of the machine with gas cutter that he learnt the tricks of ATM robbery from YouTube, and therefore took him only 20 minutes to get 2 million baht cash out with no damages to the money.

Bet there was a huge crowd taking notes, rather attempting to lynch someone at this re-enactment.

Or asking for a link to the YouTube account he used.

The man who was arrested on Wednesday for stealing over THB2 million cash from an ATM in Phetchaburi province told police that he learned how to pull off the heist from a YouTube video.

Yesterday police took Channarong Wonghongtong, 46, to the ATM of Siam Commercial Bank near SR Spinning Factory to re-enact how he cut open the machine with a gas cutter and stole the money on May 20.

In a huge amount of debt, Channarong and his friend decided to attempt the ATM heist when they noticed the machine was located in a secluded area.

This is Thailand 4.0.

Private enterprise using innovation to generate revenues.

Prayut might commend him but then why encourage competition?

Now there will be threats to YouTube[Alphabet] to take down all YouTube videos that will teach thais to do anything considered [fill in the blank].

They will have exactly 9 days to comply or the Internet Security Force will pull the plug.
