SINGAPORE: Authorities in Singapore "remain in touch" with their Thai counterparts regarding a request for the return of Standard Chartered bank robbery suspect David Roach.

In a statement issued on Wednesday (Jun 7), the Singapore Police Force (SPF) said: “The Singapore authorities remain in touch with the Thai authorities on our request for David James Roach’s return and the return of seized evidence to Singapore."

"In the event of his return, the criminal justice process will take its course," it added.

"our request for David James Roach's return and the return of seized evidence to Singapore."

Well that could be a problem, as I suspect the seized cash has almost certainly been divvied up and spent by now.

Credibility, one of the most important values you need, easy to loose, very hard to regain.

Ridiculous that Singapore and Thailand, being so close, do not have a mutual extradition agreement, especially if a serious crime has been committed. But is this a serious crime ? I don,t think so. The sum involved is peanuts,  and at least the guy had the guts to actually rob the bank, unlike the worms who do it all on their computers from the safety of their rented rooms ! These are the real modern day crooks, not some down-on-his-heels Clyde sans Bonnie !
