Advice needed to stream worldwide TV channels to smart TV (LG) or PC Desktop Windows 10

I am fed-up with the channels provided by UBC True and the many repeats. I am looking at alternative ways to watch TV movies (not from sources like netflix) from TV channels like HBO etc. I am mostly interested in entertainment movies (no sport). I could either connect through my PC desktop with Windows 10, or cast from PC to my smart TV LG, or direct to my smart TV. I am looking for advice of in Thailand legal options, but have personally no clue how to find such info myself because I don't know what to look for. Such services to receive TV streaming could either be free or paid and will depend largely on what is available and quality. I am particularly interested in services which have a e.g. 7 days replay option. My main interest is in American, English and Dutch movies.

I would be most pleased to receive advice and comments from anyone who is using such services or has relevant experience. Many thanks for taking your time to guide me in the right direction.

Yes, not a lot of choice if you want to limit yourself to legal. Netflix, iflix, hooq are some of the options. I would say Netflix is the best choice. 7 day replay? Nah.

But perhaps Playbox from AIS is an alternative. It has HBO.

Thanks to both of you. I have tried Netflix, but I have very little knowledge of titles of films to know whether it would be interesting or not and trying out is not an option. So my preference is to have a choice of TV channels from which I can select whatever looks interesting to me. From what I see Iflix is similar to Netflix.

The alternative of Playbox looks appealing, but from the website it is not clear if it can be used directly on my TV or if I have to cast from my PC. Would you have any further information for this possible option ?

Thanks.

I don't use it, so I can't say much about playbox. And it seems to be available for AIS customers only.

But I guess you buy a simcard and you are a customer. It seems you load the app on your smartphone and then cast it to your chrome cast.

Personally I use hdprime and use it on my Apple devices, LG smart tv and non smart tv with chrome cast. But it is not legal.

IMDB is a good source of information about movies.

Link for most popular movies by genre.

Link for most popular Feature Films Released In 2016

Rotten Tomatoes is also a good source of information about movies.

Link for top 100 movies of all time.

Link for best movies of 2016, 2015, 2014, today's top rated etc.

Just write down the names (and year/genre) of the movies that appeal to you the most and look out for them on your video provider.

You can try Netflix Thailand for free for a month - see here.

If the channels you are interested in stream to the web then a decent paid VPN with servers in the relevant country is a solution. You will need a good internet connection.

I note that you are running Windows 10 on your PC.

You could try Kodi.

I know that there are Dutch TV addons for Kodi that provide Dutch sports and movies.

Have a look here.
