Robinson Department Store has invested about 1 billion THB in the construction of the Robinson Lifestyle Store Phetchaburi on an area of 40 Rai. With the catch-cry ‘EatShop-Play’, the new mall opened on 19th May. Robinson Lifestyle is a new model shopping mall which local shoppers have really embraced.

Our visit on Saturday after the official Friday opening was nearly too hard!  After a circuit of the huge building and failing to find a parking space we were ready to give up. Just then a nice new Mercedes pulled out from the perfect spot directly in front of us and we were in the right place at the right time. Inside the two level mall magnified spruikers seemed to be in competition outside most shops and restaurant outlets had waiting lists.

Perhaps a week day when the novelty value of this well-known Thailand outlet coming to Phetchaburi has worn off, a calmer and mo

The one that's coming to K.P.Phet will be open in a couple of months. I will give that a miss for at least a month after it opens. Only hope that it doesn't cause a problem traffic wise. As at present we don't have one.

Your story about not getting a parking space reminded me of a joke I once heard.

This old lady was getting very frustrated looking for a parking spot near her local "off-licence". She turned to God..........."God" she prayed...."If you find me a parking spot I'll give up the booze forever after today".....just right then a car pulled out and a lovely parking space was freed up for her right outside the door of the shop......"Hold it God" she shouted "forget about the parking space....I just found one myself". 555

Question. Does the Tops supermarket have a section that sells Bread would be handy if only to stop me making my own.

Fred the bread section is excellent, they also have some very nice Thai beef, and the only place i can find Beer Lao Gold.

They are not cheap but they have some nice kit unavailable at other outlets.

I have also found an outlet to a UK guy based in Issan who has a pie selection that is superb, he sends your order on the bus and the service is spot on, drop me a PM if you need the info.

I do know that the Tops in Phitsanulok has a good bread counter, about the only thing worth going there for now. Most of the English/Farrang stuff has gone the way of my lady friends.

As you say it is pricy, I can get a better selection and a lot cheaper at Makro.

Regards food. Our local Restaurant has a great selection of meats Goat, Deer, Ostrich steaks, + the normal stuff gets them from all over Thailand. If you are a regular he sells them to you at the buy in price. It enable him to buy a bigger amount so getting it cheaper. Just obtained some very large Pig chops & Fillet/Rib eye Steak. Delish. Pie's I don't eat find them to heavy with the heat here. But thanks for the offer. Hope you getting on ok.

Fred.
