Raids net drug takers and under age drinkers at two Pattaya nightclubs

Raids at two Pattaya nightclubs in the early hours of Tuesday morning found eleven drug takers, three under age drinkers and a lot of illegal shisha pipes and tobacco.

The raids were carried out by the deputy head of the Chonburi police Ranachai Jindamuk  and Bang Lamung district chief Naris Niramaiwong under the orders of the provincial head of police and the Chonburi governor.

The top brass wanted some action on drug taking, those under the age of 20 out drinking alcohol and premises staying open too late.

In the first of two raids conducted by over 50 police and soldiers the raiding party found 7 with the tell-tale purple urine drugs test at the Zone Pattaya 18+ on Sai 3 in Central Pattaya.

Out of 100 patrons three were under age. In addition 6 shisha pipes were confiscated along with a quantity of shisha tobacco and other equipment.

In a second raid at Nighty Night Club O nearby for tested positive for drugs and there were 13 pipes and seven kilos of tobacco taken in.

All those who were tested positive for drugs were sent to Pattaya police station for prosecution.

Not if they can pay their bail.

Nothing new under the sun.
These raids happen all over Thailand. Not only Pattaya. Just a few nightclubs I will be visiting on my next trip to rescue those girls under 20.

What you say is true that they will not learn lessons from a night in a lock up...... as their brains must be close to disintegration!

what I do wonder about is what they were using.

dirty stuff obviously...whatever it was, it's poison imho!

Just more good job from the police and authorities. Keep it up! Fixing this in Pattaya would be coming with an extra acheivement bonus salury.

Brilliant use of so many police officers, considering the huge haul. Don't want them patrolling the streets, as it is too dangerous out there

I take it all back.  I've often criticised Pattaya BIB for being scared of the dark but here we have a raiding party stiffened with soldiers amounting to over 50 brave souls making the streets safer.

I wonder what happens to the dozens people weekly who piss purple. Do they just pay a "fine" or are they sent to jail if they carry n o drug at all ?

Alcohol is equally harmful to health and it's consumption is against Buddhist teaching as I was told by A Thai Master?

So when will the police start raiding all clubs equally without discrimination?

Or will the result damage the Pattaya Image??

Only in Thailand constant army cops illegal raids. Bet they need court warant, doubt they got any...
