Hi guys,

I have been in Vientiane Thai embassy one time and from what I have understood I need to follow two steps to apply there, one to deliver the passport and the next day in the afternoon to take it back.

My doubt is, what if I do the first step of delivering in the afternoon hours instead of morning until 12pm?

Is it possible or in the afternoon the consulate does only the second step?

Thanks in advance and sorry if it is a dumb question but I forgot to check the last time I went there.

You can only apply for the visa from 08:30 to 11:30 am. They do not accept applications in the afternoon.

You pickup your passport the next afternoon between 1:30 and 3:30.

Because I am not sure there is a way to arrive in Lao in time to apply in the morning of the same day.

By airplane they arrive too late, first one arrives 11am.

Pickup time is 13:30-16:00 and do note that if you choose a busy day (monday or thursday) to apply and you apply later in the morning you will get a "bad number" and you have to wait extra next day. Read my current report

The embassy website states 13:30 to 15:30. I wouldn't suggest going there after 15:30.

When one applies he/she will get paper with number for the next day pickup. That paper also states that pickup time is 13:30-16:00

Take an early morning flight to Udon Thani (airport about 40 minutes from Friendship Bridge crossing to Laos in Nong Khai). That allows you plenty of time to make the Thai consulate in Vientiane before 11:00 am

Aww, I didn't think about that option, next time I will consider it even though it is a bit more uncomfortable.
For this time I chose the comfortable option to fly there the day before avoiding the friendship bridge.
Thanks you for all the precious advices guys, I really appreciate your help.
