Prayuth refuses to identify with military captain from TV soap ‘Love Missions’

BANGKOK: -- “Love Missions,” a military-themed soap opera on Channel 7, features the lives of four hunks in the armed forces. The episode that aired last weekend, titled “Pull the Trigger on my Heart,” revolved around the story of Purich, a charming captain who served in the 21st Infantry Queen’s Guard regiment—just like the Thai PM, Prayuth Chan-ocha.

Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.

As the plot advanced, the audience began to notice that there were (too) many similarities between Prayuth and Purich, played by Sukollawat Kanarot. Although, according to Bangkok Post, Prayuth revealed on Thursday that the story of Purich, the TV sweetheart, was not based on his own.

Owned by the Royal Thai Army, Channel 7’s new show was critiqued as “army propaganda.”

One's a good actor...............The other appears on Channel 7 ! :cheesy:

One's a bad actor. The other is an expressionless buffoon. :jap:

No sense of humor either .................

The fact that anyone bothered to watch it at all does not bode well for the future of the country.  Who would have guessed the show is based on the good general's little life and that he would then deny it?  Thailand use to be such fun and filled with opportunity.  Today it is Vietnam and Cambodia.

Not a patch on the story of Prayut, the ThaiVisa sweetheart.
