I have a Seagate Back Up Plus Slim Hard Drive that has died. It is in warranty and I've registered it online. Where can I bring it in Bangkok to return? Do they have a centre in Central World or another shopping centre? I bought it in Central Rama III but they are closed now. Thanks...

If I'm not mistaken, you can create an online RMA and ship it to their collection center in Pantip Plaza. Then they will ship back replacement unit to you. Usually it takes about 2 weeks.

Can I take it there in person? I'd rather go there than the post office! Thanks for the quick reply...

Was the beast purchased in Thailand?

IIRC Synnex are the Seagate warranty support place in Thailand, to be covered by them I understand your drive will need a Synnex sticker.

Yes you can submit in person but you still need to wait 2 weeks. They will send back the disk to you by courier.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I bought it in Central Department Store Rama III which is now closed for renovation. So is the IIRC Synnex office/ store in Pantip Plaza as Shady 86 has said? Thanks again...

Did you get it replaced?

I cannot believe this but I bought a Seagate Backup Plus Slim 1TB drive on 4Jul and just over 3 weeks later it has crashed! It just makes a squeak squeak noise when I plug in the USB and nothing starts. Two days ago it was fine. I have hardly used it and not traveled with it, its just been sat on my desk since day I unpacked it. I have never bought Seagate before and will never again. I don't have original packing any more or registered it as all my other portable HDD lasted for years. What a piece of crp this is.

I will just buy a WD as I need one now and eat the cost.
