U.S., UK, Kuwait urge swift negotiated solution to Qatar crisis

DUBAI (Reuters) - The United States, United Kingdom and Kuwait urged all parties to a Gulf Arab diplomatic row over Qatar to resolve their dispute as quickly as possible through dialogue, Kuwait state news agency KUNA reported on Tuesday.

U.S. Army soldier arrested in Hawaii on terrorism charges

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. Army sergeant who served in Iraq and Afghanistan and is now stationed in Hawaii has been arrested on charges of providing material support to Islamic State extremists, the Federal Bureau of Investigation said on Monday.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The United States on Monday called on Myanmar to allow a United Nations fact-finding mission to investigate widespread allegations of killings, rape and torture by security forces against Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar's Rakhine state.

PHUKET: -- The Phuket Governor has pleaded for migrant workers and employers not to panic and the new Phuket Immigration chief has ordered officials not to take any legal action against such people during the six-month moratorium on the current crackdown on illegal workers.

Police on Koh Tao released this still image showing what they said was Elise Dallemagne on April 21 after she bought a ticket to leave the island days before her body was discovered.

 

KOH TAO — Police on Koh Tao said Tuesday that CCTV footage shows a 30-year-old Belgian tourist buying a ferry ticket for the mainland in what they describe as the last known footage of her alive.

PHUKET: -- Police have sent samples from blood stains found inside a car rented by 36-year-old German Nico Papke to determine whether DNA tests match the blood as that of Pischa “Lek” Nampadung, whose body was found dumped in the Phuket jungle on Saturday.
