7-Eleven No Longer Gives Receipts - What Happened?
Getting rid of receipts is a huge cost savings for 7-11, BUT they should give one on request IMHO. I like the no receipt deal because it is very environmentally responsible. The exception is when I make larger purchases I want to make sure I get the discounts and the items were priced correctly. Sometimes I'll try to catch it on the POS digital display but 1 out of 10 times at 7-11 something is messed up. Either the discount or promotion isn't applied or the cashier makes a mistake and scans an item twice. -

Fire Fire Guts Historic Market in Phanom Sarakham: 30 Fire Engines Deployed

Authorities dispatched 30 fire engines from surrounding districts to tackle the fast-spreading blaze. The fire broke out around 23:30 on 23 April in the heart of the old market on Sukhaphiban 5 Road in Phanom Sarakham subdistrict. Local rescue services were alerted by residents and quickly called in reinforcements from neighbouring municipalities. Upon arrival, firefighters found the flames engulfing traditional wooden structures, fuelling a rapid spread. The fire was made more difficult to control due to the close proximity of the old buildings. Authorities promptly cut power to the affected area to aid firefighters. Despite the chaos, emergency responders managed to evacuate residents from their homes. There have been no confirmed reports of injuries or fatalities. Witness Veerachai Chaipong, 36, described the moment he saw flames erupt in front of him, noting how quickly the fire escalated. He believes most residents were still awake when the fire began, which may have helped avoid casualties. Provincial Governor Khajornkiat Rukpanichmanee arrived on-site to oversee response efforts and visited affected families to offer support in the aftermath of the disaster. Police officers from Phanom Sarakham Police Station are now investigating the cause of the fire. Initial findings suggest it may have resulted from an electrical short circuit, given the age and condition of the market structures. A full investigation is underway to determine the exact cause.
