Cabinet not ready to consider reshuffling high-ranking officers

BANGKOK: -- The Cabinet meeting on Tuesday will not consider reshuffling high-ranking officers as Deputy Prime Minister Wissanu Krea-ngam, who collects and scrutinises the related list, is on duty aboard.

Interior Minister General Anupong Paochinda also revealed that he would nominate Chatchai Promlert, director-general of the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, as the new permanent secretary to his ministry.

 

Meanwhile, the Education Ministry will asked the Cabinet to approve a credit-line budget for the Ramathibodi Hospital development project.

 

The Ministry will also propose a human resources development strategy to support the Eastern Economic Corridor.

 

The Justice Ministry wants the Cabinet to approve a budget to support the contingency fund for emergency cases in which victims and defendants in criminal cases are compensated.

Obviously what they mean is that they are expecting the elections very very soon before the shuffle starts!!!

No re-shuffling or promotions will occur until the contents of the envelopes supporting each nominee has been thoroughly checked.  

On duty abroad, maybe Switzerland or Caymans, needs to open accounts first.

This story reads as though this is an elected govt with elected representatives of the people.
