Copper--What A Joke!

Featured Replies

Well Singha continues to screw over the population of Thailand. Now I see they have a new Craft Beer called Copper. Singha making  a craft beer..that is like TOYOTA making a customized Truck!

220 BAHT FOR A .5L GLASS MAYBE THEY THOUGHT THEY MADE GOLD NOT COPPER!,,,,,,, i WILL GO BACK TO BEER LAO!

Not a  GOLD medal winner

Not a SILVER medal winner

NOT a BRONZE medal winner

NO it is COPPER  Couldn't even be bothered to alloy it with anything and still made with RICE not BARLEY.

Marketing guys are getting a bit over confident. It is not only Craft (sic) Beer but it is Premium Craft beer.

TIT

The price identifies it as a "craft" beer.

What metal is traditionally used in the fermenting vats for Craft Beer?

There gentlemen, you will find your answer.

Setting aside the ridiculous price and mis-description -  how does it taste?

This is very, very far from 'new' - the only new thing is the rather silly 'craft' label.

Haven't had it for a while, but it's been available on draught at the Singha Est.33 bars for some years now.

And it tastes very good indeed - Hitachino Red Rice beer is another rice based beer that is good ( but sweeter ). I wasn't aware it used rice, but it is a very good pint and wondered if they'd ever bottle it...

Just because the most well know rice based beer, Budweiser, is an insult to beer doesn't mean it has to be bad to use rice - try it before mocking it. If you can't afford it, stick to Archa or Cheers...
