My kingdom for a new coin purse! Well, it may not be that serious, but I don't seem able to find one on my own. You see...

several years ago I found, bought and began using a small black plastic coin purse. I know that seems trivial, but it's very nice to not have coins jingling around in my pants pockets.

For several months I've been on the lookout for a replacement. But these things are quite rare in retail circles.

Anyone know where to find one in Bangkok?

Alas, I know it's not sexy nor controversial nor politically explosive this thread of mine but please, if you know where such a coin purse is sold I'll be very grateful if you pass along the locale.

MBK, and sois, have several vendors selling silk brocade coin purses. I don't know if that's too feminine for you. Perhaps it just shows your sensitive side.

Men carry wallets, ladies have purses.

I like these things too but haven't seen one for sale anywhere in years. Please let me know if you locate a source.

Thirty/forty years ago a lot of companies would print their logo on these and give them away as promotions.

Be not so hasty on the scorn there lads. In the days of old men and women carried 'purses' or 'pouches' around (wallets weren't around due to lack of pockets) to put their trusty coin in. And do people not refer to a boxers winnings as a 'prize purse' and so on.
