Police launch campaign against social media posts with celebrities encouraging alcohol use

BANGKOK: -- Police will monitor Thai social media to punish any actors, “net idols”, or celebrities who pose messages and pictures inviting others to drink alcoholic beverages. There is a fine of Bt50,000-Bt200,000 for publicly encouraging alcohol consumption under the Alcoholic Beverage Control Act.

PHUKET: -- An image appearing to be a screengrab from a private Facebook message sent in relation to the Danny Glass case will not be presented as evidence in the case file, Thalang Police Chief Col Somphong Thipaphakul has confirmed.

NLA sets up committee to review law on political parties

Joint effort to rebuild Karen refugees’ huts

Ten arrested for wildlife trading near Bangkok temples

Relatives of murdered teenager demand apology
