Sell Gold

Featured Replies

I'm in Shenzhen and will travel to BK via HK in September. I have 1oz gold coin for sale. Any suggestions where to get the best offer?

I read that HK Bank of China branches buys above spot but require an account. I'm a customer at BoC in Mainland but that doesn't count since their system isn't connected.

Nobody buys coins in Thailand. You'll likely need to sell it as scrap to a refinery. You'll probably find someone in Yaowarat willing to buy it from you, but you'll get a very low price for it.  You can try at BKK Assay, but don't expect to get spot. You'll get something less.

Hold onto coins until you go to Singapore would be my recommendation. Thailand is good for Thai gold or 1kg gold bars.  There is zero market for a coin.

Not that I have a crystal ball or anything, but gold is on the verge of a POSSIBLE breakout to the positive so if you are able to hold off selling it MAY be in your favour. Just saying. I have some gold but am hanging on for better days I hope!

I have inherit some rings  in Thai gold and would like to sell them (8-12 g each)

Can anybody recommend a gold shop in Bangkok where I can expect a fair price?

You can always try asking the many gold shops in Yaowarat Road :

No idea if they buy rings but worth a day trip to shop around and see what quotes you are offered if they do. Don't just accept the first offer would be my advice. Some others here may have more experience.
