yellow fever vaccination and certificate

Featured Replies

I need to get yellow fever vaccination and certificate to be allowed into Bolivia after I have first visited Peru.

Could anyone please suggest where would be the best place to go for this vaccination?

Thanks a lot:smile:

There is a place that provides vaccinations in the ground floor connection going from Soi Sukhumvit 23 that connects to Asoke-Montri road in the Interchange Building. Specifically for travelers it seems. Never used them and don't know about them just noticed on my way to Sukhumvit MRT station virtually every day. Failing that any hospital I would think? Hope that helps.

thanks a lot I will check it out:thumbsup:

I got my yellow fever vaccination at Chang Wattana Immigration. I don't remember the cost however it was very little. No appointment needed just walk in and ask.

This is not a vaccination provided by clinics or normal hospitals AFAIK.  Bangkok Immigration and the Thai Red Cross center are the normal places to obtain.

Bangkok immigration! :shock1:Now I have this mental image of a grouchy immigration officer clutching a syringe:giggle:

actually I found this place which is much easier to get to and it does have yellow fever on their list So I've just sent them an email

As it happens my wife and I needed a yellow fever shot each as we are heading off to Africa next month. My wife went to the place I suggested above and they referred her to Global Doctor Clinic   http://globaldoctors.asia/v2/index.php/global-doctors-alliance/thailand/yaowaraj-clinic  on the ground floor of the Holiday Inn, Silom. When we eventually made it there this morning the staff informed us that only the Red Cross can give the vaccination so I was obviously not too impressed with the pointless visit and time-wasting. I then said that medconsultasia (see Sheryl's post above) offered it and they basically said "you can try". So we did. Result a very good visit with a nurse who obviously knows how to give injections without too much discomfort (the best I have ever experienced in fact!). The waiting time was perhaps a little on the long side but overall no hesitations in recommending if anyone needs vaccinations fro traveling etc... As per the wesbite 1700 Baht each person.
