How bad is water / electric shortages in Samui?

Featured Replies

How bad is it?

Underwater water pipe construction still ongoing? (with this speed, perhaps they can complete in 2020?)

Is all areas affected same or shortages depends on location / disctrict?

Thanks in advance.

I have no problems here in southern Chaweng, government water and electricity.
It seems its certain areas that gets frequent electricity outages.

No problems here in the south of the island except when they have to turn it off because of on going works.

No problems at Tambon Maenam, too. But after living at Koh Phangan some years ago with permanent water shortage and no water supply at all by the official water supply system, I don't trust the official water supply anymore and recommend a well, even if Samui has no shortage at the moment. You never know, what will happen in the future...
