Dr, Sheryl, your turn...

Hi Sheryl,
there are not only Pattaya Base-Jumpers, there are also folks choosing pharmaceuticals to accelerate their earthly exit.
The recent post in Chiang Mai sub-Forum (Dead in Bed) got me thingking:

- How can it be, that the human stomach tolerates an overdose of foreighn substances (pain-killers, tranquilizers, sleeping-tablets) without revolting = vomiting! Self defense of the body, if you will.

Returning to "Dead in Bed", just how many Kilo's of Pain-Killers would this poor man have to have swallowed before his bodily functions went on "shut-down" mode, without the body (stomach) taking defensive action beforehand? = Vomiting!

I don't get it!
THX & Cheers.

There are some OTC medications -- I believe Tagamet is one? -- that can suppress the vomit reflex.

Your inquiries might be innocent and sincere enough, but addressing your questions may be tricky as I doubt the forum endorses "how to" tutorials for suicide.
