Thanks to Island Guy for introducing me to Six Senses Samui Luxury Resort, which I came to learn has a model sustainable landscape and food garden program.

Under general manager Gary Henden and head gardener Khun Thada,  they have made the most of a rocky hillside site.  They are also networking with other Samui resorts for sharing of information and training resources.  July 27th they hosted a program with a Surat Thani Pest Control Center for biological control of coconut palm beetle pests.

They recycle green waste and wood from tree and landscape maintenance, they actually sold the truck that used to export this material to the landfill, and bought a garden grinder and goats to do the job on site.  They compost, make compost tea/EM, raise chickens for eggs and manure, aquaculture/fish, organic vegetable garden for produce to supply restaurant and public sales, etc.  And educate guests who are interested in visiting and learning at their 'Farm On The Hill'.
