Motorbikes Pattaya Tai

Featured Replies

Police are removing/impounding motorbikes parked on the pavement/sidewalk on Pattaya Tai.

In particular all the bikes normally parked on the pavement in front of the Kasikorn Bank a bit west of Friendship ... and they've put up a sign prohibiting motorbikes parking there.

And a couple of push-cart vendors put their carts in Friendship's parking lot and were "hiding out" inside the store, much to the amusement of store employees.

I wonder if this somehow ties in with the again-functional pedestrian crossing signal by Wat Chai.  When I was there around 100pm here were a half dozen police officers along the side walk where the baht bus queue is and they were talking to (lecturing?) folks.  Seems like maybe some mini-clean up of the area of some sort?  Wouldn't this be wonderful if it were the beginning of a project to spread throughout the city to enforce laws of all sorts?  (Wake up, Dorothy!   You're not in Kansas any more!  <sigh...>)

Mopping with the watertap open (Dweilen met de kraan open).........it's nothing more or less then cashing money.

After their tiny clean up it will last for a few days and the same or new vendors, motorbike parkers take the opportunity to fill up the gaps on the pavement.

BTW........Is there any other option then to park the bike?

The bike-parking around TukCom is for 80% occupied by TukCom workers and nowhere to find an open spot.
