During the operation, officers raided two building within Romklao Housing Estate in Lat Krabang district and submitted 24 residents to urine tests, said Pol Maj-General Surachet Hakpan, the 191 patrol and special operation division.

Nine tests were positive of substance abuse, he said. Officers also seized 100 grams of marijuana from one of the suspects.

In separate incidents, Surachet also said suspect Alongkorn Thongchin, 23, was nabbed on Wednesday along with 1,514 grams of marijuana and second case saw Panuwat Boonthalert, 36, nabbed along with 10 kilograms of marijuana.

Also on Wednesday, police arrested nine suspects who allegedly took yaba pills and one suspect who had 200 yaba pills and 1.49 grams of “ice” (crystal meth) in his possession.

On the same day, police arrested Sakonpop Kruaklai, 31, who allegedly ran two Facebook pages that encouraged illegal street racing, in Lat Phrao district. The man was arrested once before of the same offence on May 10, Surachet said.

Also on Thursday police arrested Ekkachai Liangraksa, 24, who was the administrator of two Facebook pages that supported illegal street racing, at his home in Nonthaburi's Bang Kluay district. The man was arrested once before of the same offence on April 28.

As both Sakonpop and Ekkachai were repeat offenders, police will submit them to the government's camp for youth street racers, he added.
