Looking for 'soap nut' farmers

I've been trying to track down farmers, particularly communities, growing or harvesting Sapindus mukorossi (Soap nuts or in Thai, makaam diikwaai) with no success. I realize that they are easy to source in Chinatown, but we're trying to ensure the quality of the supply chain and so want to know where they come from. As they come mainly from the North, would be delighted to hear from anyone who knows farmers producing this. Thanks very much in advance!
