Expats in Fang

Featured Replies

I am an Aussie.

I have been in LOS for 14 years including 2 years in Fang.

Where are the expats?

We live @ Sansai.

Yes, to my knowledge although I have no contact with him.

If you wish to contact him, I know someone with more details.

Thanks, but never knew him well. He was a Chiang Mai regular almost 30 years ago and moved to Fang awhile ago now. I just wondered if he was still around.

Thanks for that. Not too many folks from those days are still in Chiang Mai. I was really surprised how few posters responded to the post on Fast Eddie's funeral on the page of remembrance. He was very well-known back in the day.

I didn't know Fast Eddie although I lived in CNX for 12 years. I was more involved with AA &  golf @ Gymkhana & Green Valley.

Fast Freddie is now making merit in Fang??  Anyone know which temple?

  • Author

Naturally there are many temples but I have a fair idea which one.

I will email the expat monk now and get back to you tomorrow.

I have had communication with the expat monk regarding Fast Freddie. He noted my inquiry but no more.

The Buddhist temple I refer to is - Wat Sriboonruang.

My apologies posting before coffee.  It was Eddie, not Freddie, who was an old pal from decades ago who went into the monkhood years ago. He was one of the few Farangs who made it to my wedding up in the hills.

I will pass it on.

I have already given the name of the temple on this thread.

Wat Sriboonruang.
