Disease Widal

Featured Replies

Hello everybody

I am looking for a pneumologist in Chiang Mai city, can you help me find good doctor quickly
I have Widal  disease
thank you

Ring Chiang Mai Ram Hospital: 053 920 300, 053-894-260 x1040 or x1050

Ask them if they have a pneumologist or know where one is.

They are private (expensive) but the best in CM - English all good.

Otherwise, try Sriphat Medical Centre: 053-946-623, 053-946-624 which is the Clinic attached to the Public Hospital and is goos too (share specialists with CMRam).

If you are unaware, most medical specialists provide their services at 2-3 hospitals, and some also have their own private clinics (cheapest option).

The best pulmonologist there is Dr. Atikun Limsukon. He trained in the US and has published in many peer reviewed journals and is highly regarded by expats in CM.

He can be seen at Sripat or at CM Bangkok Hospital. Sripat will cost less.

Sripat: http://sriphat.med.cmu.ac.th/en/home  (pay no attention that his name is not listed, just call and ask)

In a previous post I referred to dryness of the mouth/throat. Some years ago I was diagnosed with stage 3/4 throat cancer by Dr Ratiya of RAM Hospital CNX.

An opinion on SALAGEN is sought.

Please explain what you mean exactly. Salagen (pilocarpine) used how, for what condition? Certainly you should not self-prescribe it.

You want to know if this dryness might be due to pilocarpine that you are taking for other reasons?

Or you want to know if taking it will help the dryness??? If so the answer is possibly but with many, many  side effects, and this is NOT something you can safely self-prescribe.
