There is 1 hardware store where they have the Security Guard checking the bill when you walk out, he just stamps the bill ????
-
Normally I don't like those bill checkers, but now we will be more appreciative of them
-
As said we bought some expensive items, for example I have noticed afterwards that the batteries alone are 2k THB (each). And bill in total was over 25K, so without the faulty scan it would be 21k+-.

Went to a local Hardware store yesterday to buy some stuff. Paid and then at the door the guy started checking our bill as they normally do. (Which I normally find a total nuisance) His checking went on and on and on and talking to the Cashier who scanned all the items and even removing all items from the cart etc. To make a long story short, the billing system of the Store charged us 4000 THB+ for a pack of 2 Solar Spanner Wrenches (which actually cost 52 THB) So thanks to the guy, who did the checking, we got almost 4000 THB back. The issue in the end was that A) the person who put the barcode on, put on the price of the WHOLE box instead of a single pair B) the cashier did not pay attention to what she was scanning. The Service counter, where we got our money back, was not at all pleased. Of course in the end we tipped the guy well. And we bought some expensive items (cordless drill from DeWalt with extra batteries 20V 5A) and lots of Solar Panel related stuff etc so I never thought about that the price was that high (Please note Total Bill was over 25k THB) Just a normal day in LoS 5555555555555555

Even the cheap P Hostel located very near to the train station has aircon and those rooms are around 4xx THB You could always turn off the aircon and have them supply a fan https://goo.gl/maps/sjMrYtEuE3ZFfTAJA

WhatIKnow is that for my marriage extension I just had to give immigration a bank letter confirming the 400k and give them the Bank book. For retirement I had to give IO a bank letter and a bank statement going back 6 months Both times (marriage and retirement) the money was in a FD account and I also added money to it on the day I went to the bank and to IO to show the updated balance in the bank letter.

Retirement extension, if using money in the bank, is different to marriage extension, because with the retirement extension the 800k you can only use 400k and the rest (400k) needs to be in the account for the whole year and near extension date (don’t know the exact amount of time) you need to top it backup to 800.000 again

Changing Email Address - 90 Day Reporting
MJCM replied to 007 RED's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I checked and I don’t see any possibility to change your email address. 2 suggestions 1- Do you keep your old email address? If so, then you could maybe do a forward to your new email address 2- applying again with the new email address. Here another thread about it -
