The start of my new 'Off grid' Solar install.

I purchased a fully loaded Nano consumer panel (around 200bht). Put the MCB (double red) and neutral block in my existing panel. AC+ to top of double red MCB, AC- to extra neutral block. The +distribution bar runs along the bottom of all the coloured Nano fuses. The only real effort is identifying the neutral wires and transferring them to the new neutral block. -
Roughly 1,000 people trapped in Death Valley due to severe flooding
BritManToo replied to Scott's topic in World News
The report ends that it was a 200 to 500 year event ....... But the last time this happened was in 1988, so surely it should be classed as a 30-50 year event. -
Solar power, can it be done DIY?
BritManToo replied to Sophon's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Inverter cable. Output 5kW divided by 220v = 23A So you need cable that can take 23A (4mm can take 25A-32A) PV cable. Strings will be under 500V max 10A. Normal 2.5mm twin insulated cable is rated 16-23A @ 500V You just need a few MC4 connectors (10bht each). Battery cable. 48V x 100A = 5kW. I use 4 strands of 4mm connected in parallel giving me a 120A connection. My local store sells single 4mm cable at 10bht/m. No need to buy special expensive 'solar' cables. -

Interesting study connecting mental illness with vegetarianism. The study couldn't decide if the vegetarian lifestyle attracts the mentally ill or the vegetarian diet causes mental illness. I used to cycle with a bunch of vegans, they were not only aggressive and violent but had to keep injecting themselves with vitamins in order to remain competitive. Not my idea of healthy.

I get 1kW at 9am, rising to 2.2kW at midday.

Where To Buy Solar Hybrid Inverter And what to buy
BritManToo replied to Pink7's topic in Alternative/Renewable Energy Forum
Problem being getting extra inverters to match your first one. They seem to change specs every 6 months, and the new ones won't connect to the old ones. -

Was on battery, had plenty of battery power left. I'm thinking she shorted the extension socket, hard to tell, Thais admit nothing but the data record showed 1,650W draw before the fault occurred, and only the iron uses 1,600W in this household. -

It's only gone mad once. Daughter was using an electric iron late at night, power went off, inverter screamed with red lights. Fault 05 = op short or internal overheat. Not sure why it would overheat using 1,600W at night, but lots of extensions used as well so could have been a short. Turned everything off, turned everything on and all working again. Now banned from using the iron after dark, mainly 'cos I don't want to fiddle around in the dark. Apart from that no problems. Like @Crossy no need to wire your heavy duty items through the inverter. Both my shower heaters, air-con and a kitchen double socket still on the grid supply. -
8:30am Breakfast, fried bacon, egg, and mushrooms sandwich. 9:30am Do I go for a walk, or do I drink a wine cooler? Healthy option, 3.5Km walk first, then the wine cooler.

The photos are just for my later viewing. As for a relationship with 'women that enjoy sex', no thanks, if they enjoy sex they will have many different lovers, and you'll just be one of the crowd.

All the same price if you buy from China (through Lazada or Shopee dealers). No special wires required, the wire doesn't care if it's AC or DC passing through it. -

Passenger fined $1,874 after two undeclared McMuffins found in luggage

You feel arriving with a burger in your bag is a similar offense to importing and releasing vermin into the wild? -
All about selling out to white folk ..... not foreigners. Worse, calling white folk animals (farang) compared to Thai people (kon Thai). Racist song by xenophobic bigot band. As for 'Nate', surprised to see Rooster idolising a guy I view as a complete tool. Like Rooster, I arrived in Thailand with nothing, and I still have most of it left!
