Imagine a child-smuggling operation, they could obtain foreign passport for a child and take any child out of Thailand if the authorities don't check for entry stamp on the foreign passport. Obtaining a Thai passport for a child require consent or presence of both parent at least Any foreign national exiting Thailand without a corresponding entry stamp on their passport would be very suspicious indeed, how did they enter? if they had other passport they used why did they switch?

problem is that most of the Thai domestic airlines currently operating are worse, in terms of punctuality and not cancelling flights, if your destination is not served by Bangkok Airways, AirAsia is the choice over other airlines

Is it possible to have Wi-Fi and Ethernet (fiber) on same computer?
digbeth replied to Daffy D's topic in IT and Computers
if your computer's connected to the internet via the same router that 'gives' wifi to other devices in your hose it's on the same network and you don't need to do anything, you can add the wifi cameras to your existing network, no need to get wifi working on the pc problem is that some brands of camera might only have apps for reviewing recording etc which requires a phone or tablet, not pc, better check with the camera that you are looking into buying if they support viewing from pc -
Rate Charging Suppliers based on ease of use?
digbeth replied to Greenside's topic in Thailand Motor Discussion
I think the CCS conector has MAC address like a computer, so it probably uses that to identify your vehicle some recent report in thai EV facebook groups about PEA auto charging malfunctioning and people have their account showing charging in ocations where they couldn't have and being deducted, might better keep an eye on charge history if you have autocharge turned on -

Import duty on motorbike accessories
digbeth replied to thailandsgreat's topic in Motorcycles in Thailand
The Givi distributor in Thailand got most of their boxes from the Malaysian factories, usually the smaller models, those will be cheaper than Europe. The bigger European models like the V58 I've seen in Thai shops at around 30-35,000 which seem in line with prices on Lazada and Shopee, these importers/distributor ship them in on container so their cost is likely lower than yours, they probably have lots of markup due to being a big ticket item that wouldn't sell as often, but are you willing to gamble you can bring it in by having shops in Europe send it and pray you won't get taxed to hell? Remember, the tax+Vat is calculated after the cost of the freight/courier service, so if they ship it to you using expensive company that'll be reflected in the final price For accurate price there's importer like https://thai.webike.net/ that knows how much customs take and will have price that reflect that and their cut, they don't have the exact model but you can compare with other parts or models to the European based shop and see how much you could be expected to pay -

Getting a credit card at a Thai bank
digbeth replied to kingstonkid's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
it's called a 'bonded' credit card, you open an account with the amount and the bank will blocked off the amount, only paying back interest. you have to make payment on the credit you use and interest if you don't pay back in full - essentially borrowing against your own money good question is that can you use this deposit to show immigration to satisfy your retirement/marriage extension say if you put the required 4/800,000 in an account and have bonded credit card for that account, you can then spend the amount that otherwise be sitting untouched -

one possible caveat is the the usufruct terminates at the end of your life.... would that be the wrong incentive if your existence become a problem for whoever got a hold of the land deeds,
-
having a usufruct would also protect you in that no one would normally touch a chanote with conditions attached like usufruct in case where a relative were to got a hold of the chanote and tried to sell/mortgage the land off. but make sure that the conditions of the usufruct is that both parties are required to give consent to cancel the usufruct, otherwise if the landowner can cancel the usufruct and kick you out without you having a say

Looking For Gringo (Foreigner) Ghetto's
digbeth replied to JimTripper's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Nirun Grand Condo in Pattaya is definitely a ghetto, but there's lots of contact often paid, with the locals so by your criteria of no contact with locals, Nichada Thani in Bangkok is definitely more of a Ghetto than Nirun
