  1. I had bought couple years ago a Galaxy to replace an existing Samsung that I had but in the interim got a Huawei with dual Sim I had put few apps on the Galaxy but never used it per se. Fast forward.....thought I'd factory reset it as was giving it to a friend. Should have just deleted apps instead The phone has gone into Chinese script from the factory reset.....I've got no way of obviously knowing what I'm clicking on. Thinking ok factory reset again see if it sorts it but of course same issue cant read whatever is there !! Any suggestions....?? Thanks
  2. I've screenshotted my opening response to the thread as wanted to include the Emoji Tell me why 11 people are either confused or sad lol ???
  3. Unfortunate but accidents like this happen the world over Thailand will get caned for it though
  4. You're at the stage where you possibly have Salmonella now. I'd wallop in a load of Imodium or similar and see what happens If its still coming out in rivers than trouble I worked in a Government setting in 1984 when I had it and was off work for 13 weeks (am not joking) because was not allowed to mix with other workers until 3 clear tests (weekly) had occured
  5. the more people that use a specific short code the more likely any network will retain it (an old one at 200 Plus vat a month still works 10 years after I first used it) Now I dont for one moment expect this to be the best out there but its pretty top drawer Price is 300 Baht a month INCLUDING vat/tax so in the 270's to start with Easier if I just screenshot but 80gb a month at high speed and then dips to (supposdly) 1 Mbps for rest of the month (when I deliberately used up the 80GB) the first month it dropped to around 2.7 down so was still streaming Live TV and Youtube without buffering Free Wifi, Free calls, Insurance all thrown in on top It auto renews so obviously if you dont want to renew dont have the required amount on account *900*7497# then "call" I repeat it wont be the best so by all means if you have a better month by month on Truemove (Not Lazada one year sims lol which are not suitable for everyone)) by all means add the short code for the benefit of all
  6. Is 6000 baht a day enough to live on in Pattaya lol What a roaster Half of that would give anyone a great lifestyle out here
  7. Mike I havent read the thread in entirety otherwise we'd be in 2024 already lol but can I just ask if that transfers from the likes of Wise dispatched in my case from the UK under the guise of "living expenses" would be exempt from taxation ?? I'm non resident Thailand but could well be close to this 183 days a year within the Country when all totted up
  8. lol lol lol..... Go and have a look again at the unedited post......Whats on the end ?? I never actually thought anyone would take it seriously !!!!
  9. 60 Days for European Countries would go down very well Pity the Brits wont get it after leaving the EU another Brucie Brexit Bonus...................................................
  10. Yeah am not quite sure I'm that poor to save 300 lol I'm happy to use it in hotel check ins but will never use outright in an ATM I had a look at SCB and yes they do have same facility on the app. just something thats sailed past me without ever realising so fair play to the thread indeed
  11. Ignore final sentence of above. Obviously not Its not letting me edit it out for some reason
  12. Treetops Do most of the banks offer same facility ?? Am paranoid over ATM usage with my SCB debit card in fact I wont use it Peace of mind walking to Bank branch in 5 minutes to take 30k out a time What about the 220 fee itself ?? Still applies I assume ??
  13. I'll add this here albeit not strictly related to thread When I arrived after long absence from Thailand over three and half years first port of call was the Bank Firstly to get new Debit card because they had changed to 6 digit pin. Secondly to update the passbook (not strictly required but might as well do it) and thirdly new passport details First and second points easily sorted plus 100 Baht for new debit card etc However the initial passport update was a slight problem. In short they wanted to see the old one to compare photographs etc. I like many people (but not all) destroy old passports once expired. Clearly I couldnt produce it I had to answer a hoard of questions until they were satisfied it was indeed me. It could be because there was a fair bit in the account well into 6 figures (not massive but more than normal) and they wanted to be assured in their own minds.....good 20 minutes before they were happy So in short keep your old passports !! SCB it was
  14. Dont use smartphones when doing this......its been asking me for at least a year if I click on top left hand icon that has red dot on it (yes I could just satisfy them I acknowledge) Use full desktop website and you wont get asked at all no matter what amount......it authenticates you by actually pinging the mobile app for you to confirm "yes this is me" Its the security angle that companies like Wise dont like with phone apps One transfer I did recently was for £2450 so well in excess of this "suggested" 50,000 baht limit....it was going to SCB I might add Was there in 9 seconds
  15. No matter if Thai UK or wherever "bundled" or "free" travel insurance via Banks are not worth the paper they are written on literally I worked for 6 years in insurance 80's and 90's and bundled "cover" was the subject of complaint after complaint Reading an article recently nothing has changed whatsoever
  16. OP...here i liked the place because prices clearly displayed...am sure you could still knock some Baht off but you've got a clear starting point The prices of bags though in Big C was literally obscene when I went looking few days ago
  17. Astonishing coincidence Literally only last night I walked from Top Soi 7 heading towards Diana. For my own reasons I wanted exactly what you're looking for and found a shop on right hand side before we reach Central Festival I'd had few sherbets so took a photo to remind me where it was !! Its mainly a shoe shop but on left hand side of photo they have a decent selection of the soft carry on bags but also the price is clearly marked and were cheap I'd imagine exactly what you wanted because was exactly what I want as well Am having wifi problems in Hotel......Will upload photo later OP (if I forget just remind me) but you cant miss it if you take a walk up there
  18. 179 now as of last Tuesday big breakfast at CC
